Te Rau Pou Manawa o Kawakawa Regional

In the weekend I went back to school to do Kapa Haka,we went over to our school hall to do taumata then we had to polish our formation because of 2 cripple girls.Then we had to do our formations for our whakaeke first was the girls they keep getting their formations wrong and when it was the boys turn we got it right quick but we had to do go through a few time so we get in our heads.Then we all did together but the girls got it wrong.We were all up till 12:30 because of the girls because they couldn't one formation in the whakawatea well they were doing that boys were having long rest.On Saturday we were split the boys went with tere to polish our actions and formation till lunch,after lunch we had a break.After our break was finished we went back in lines and went through our haka and whakawatea after we did all that we ran through the whakaeke,haka,poi and the whakawatea then we went over the the hall and ran through the poi and the haka when it was 5:00 it was our down time till dinner. After dinner we had desert then we had a long break till went over to the hall,then they four models and they were in our kakahu. Then we all got in our kakahu. After all that we had shower and went to bed.On Sunday we had to run our items because we had a dress rehearsal for the parents.when it was time to perform some people was nervous,when went out some people started crying.

Monday writing

There once was a girl who loved everything she loved everything she loved music, going on adventures, she loved the outdoors she loved everything, she was also always happy. So one Monday morning she was walking to school when she spotted something. It was a man crouched against the wall with his back faced towards her, she was wearing a black hoodie following back pants, he was very strange looking. she said to her self in a confused voice and look "what is that". She took a few steps towards the mad and tapped on his shoulder. The man didn't move though he just stayed there in the same position, head faced towards the wall and crouched. As he stayed there for a few moments she asked " are you okay" and still no replies, she quickly paired over his shoulder and saw something unbelievable. A purple and blue thing in the form of a triangle. she thought it must have something to do with magic. she once again tapped his shoulder and still no replies, so she curiously stepped a little closer and reached out over his shoulder to touch the triangle...

This week for my Monday free writing I decided to make up  my very own story about a girl and magic. My Saturday

Saturday night we were driving to Kerikeri fireworks at spring bank school we were waiting in line for a long time ordering food,glow sticks and tickets just after that we suddenly heard the music stop and the fireworks went off we rushed back to our spot recording and taking photos of the beautiful fireworks it was so cool and there was so many colorful firework they was so many it lit up the sky once they were finished we walked to the car and drove back home and hopped into bed.Waking up in the morning and getting dressed to go for a nice cold swim at the waterfalls we were dying in the hot blazing sun and our sandals were sticking to the ground,There we had made it to the beautiful clean waterfalls we quickly got dressed and we touch the water with our feet it was so cold we rushed back out.¨Last one in the water"i said.Me and my Friend Roxy dived in to the water swimming to the bombing rock and got up there.It was so cool we deiced to go to the top go by the waterfall and started jumping off.Cold and hot,freezing in the water and melting in the sun we so wanted to go back but we were not allowed go back by our self.Maybe will we came back next weekend.

Assembly term 4 week 3

Today we had our Halloween Assembly it was awesome we performed some dance items and also we sang a song. We had to create some masks for your dance we were dancing to un poco loco from COCO and bring some costumers to our Assembly. The hard part was probably getting up and dancing in front of a crowed because I'm not really a dancing fan. The easy part was singing the song because I felt comfortable preforming in front of everyone cause our class was singing.

Maori Direction

Today we did a maze but we had to speak Maori to our partner and they had to be blindfolded. My partner was Ocean she did well listing to me speak Maori, but her speaking Maori when I was blindfolded was hard. The easy part was speaking Maori because it was easy. The hard part was drawing and trying to listen to Ocean while she is speaking Te reo. Here is my maze this how I done. Enjoy...? Te reo selfi video

For the past week I've been working on my te reo selfie movie, it's a movie where you speak Te reo Maori and explain who you are and what you do. For example I had to say something I like and then translate it into Maori. I put everything into a Imovie and edit my movie and run over it so their was so mistakes, The hardest part was recording and editing and uploading that was really stressful because on top of that I had to do my art and another movie we're currently making so yeah. The easy part was I'm just going to be honest nothing, nothing was easy at all because you have to plan what your going to do next and what sentence your going to say, you have the sentence on lock down and not looking at the screen. I think this activity was the hardest thing I've ever done in primary. But over all I loved the experience and helped me to get comfortable around a camera. Reading Activity

This week in reading we have been learning to summarizing and putting it in our own words. summarizing is when you find the key information in a text and put it in your own words.I find it in the middle cause sometimes I can find the key information in the text and sometimes I can't find the key word information. The book we read was 3 Squadron by John Bonallack. I enjoyed this book because it tell's you about helicopters . My task was to make a quiz about helicopters  . My next learning step is to find the important key words in a book.

Maths eyes

This is my maths eyes I hope you enjoyed it. Over the last terms our class has been doing math's eyes, math's eyes are pictures of things or places, with those pictures we have to try and see all the things in that picture that relates to math's. This week we got to pick our own math's eyes and write about it on a google drawing. The hard part about this was spotting all the angles and shapes in the background.

Carpool karaoke

kia ora this week we had a task for our assembly and that was to make a carpool karaoke video less than 30 seconds.The song that me and my buddy done was (Girlfriend & In my feelings). I really like how we could do carpool karaoke it is my favorite i would love to do this again.I also learned to be more confident and now i feel like doing it again.I like how we could pick our own music ,i really didn't like how it had to be 30 seconds or less,i found it easy to lip sync and to do the actions.My next step would to be having more people in my group or having the same amount.

Te reo

Today we had a Maori lesson and we had to make a video about what we learn't. The hard part was trying not to laugh because we were starring at each other and we tried not to laugh in the video. The easy part was speaking Maori because we were practising before the video. I hope you enjoy my groups video

How bad is our rubbish

For the whole term we been working on a inquiry called how clean is our awa? We had to pick a problem that involves around our awa. The hard part was trying to solve my problem because their was so many ideas in my head and I didn't know what to pick. Kia ora this is my Imovie it is something you mite get a little bit of facts about Ngatokimatawhaorua and a little bit more than you think. What I found easy was to make the Imovies .What I found hard was to do the stop motion and putting it all together .

'Ch' activity

This is my 'Ch ' activity and it has all the 'Ch' sounds I can think of I know that all these are are 'Ch' words because you can hear 'Ch' but it doesn't spell the letters 'Ch'.

We have been learning about world records for math.I have seen some on youtube people making and braking world records for example longest mouth,longest nails on a single hand,Fastest talker and lastly the tallest man in the world.but here is my slide in here is has some world records that we have tried maybe u can try too.I haven't done a lot but its OK.

'OR' sounds

This week we have been learning the or sound. What was hard for me was knowing  when to use the patterns when I spell words because there are so many. 

Pepeha

This week we have been going over our Pepeha again. At our school everyone gets and opportunity to share their pepeha in our school taumata so we need to know it and be able to say it confidently in front of our school. I have found it easy to learn my pepeha off by heart but am nervous to say it in front of the school. I hope over the year I will be confident to try. Have you got any tips for how to speak in front of an audience?
